My dream to become a therapist began while enrolled in my first psychology class in high school. I pursued a Bachelor of Art in Psychology from California State University Long Beach followed by a Master of Art in Social Work at University of Southern California. I have completed extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and have training in DBT-Prolonged Exposure and Mindfulness Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I have professional experience in the education system, in substance use treatment programs, and as part of a comprehensive DBT team. I am passionate about my own mindfulness and self care practices and act as a model for my clients. One of the most important aspects of therapy is a positive therapeutic relationship so I work to ensure that my clients feel connected and engaged to our work through my genuine care and compassion.
